Alert message sent 13/07/2021 09:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Surrey Police

Last week, Surrey Police and Sussex Police Force won an Oscar Kilo award in the Personal Resilience category for our work on the Sleep Project.

The project, which is still ongoing, involves working with Sleep Scientist Dr Sophie Bostock to address the ‘barriers’ to good sleep.

Kevin Coombes, Surrey Police and Sussex Police’s Lead Wellbeing Consultant said: “We’re delighted to have received this fantastic award. During the past year, good sleep has been more important for our colleagues than ever as they have continued to keep our counties safe during the pandemic and it is an honour to have the project recognised at a national level. Oscar Kilo have now taken our Sleep Project nationwide meaning every UK police force can benefit from this initiative.”

Congratulations to our Wellbeing Team and everyone who took part in the sleep working group, it’s quite an achievement! Read more about the award here:
