 Tandridge Country Watch Newsletter
Bulletin No: 01
13th May 2021
Dear Country Watch Members,

This bulletin continues to be busy with burglaries and criminal damage still at the forefront. We are committed to tackling these issues, not just within the Safer Neighbourhood Team, but as a wider issue being addressed by Surrey Police. If you feel that you would benefit from some crime prevention advice in a rural setting, please contact our Designing out Crime Officer, Simon Evans.
This Month I am pleased to be able to introduce you to PCSO Kerrie Furlong who will be taking on the responsibilities of Rural Police Community Support Officer, Kerrie has this message for you all:
“Hi there, my name is Kerrie and I have been given the responsibility of being the current Rural PCSO for Tandridge.
I have worked for Surrey Police since 2009, when I joined as a Roads Policing Community Support Officer (RPCSO). In 2011, I joined the Tandridge team and continued work as an RPCSO however the role was changed in 2014 so I then became a PCSO and covered the Caterham Valley and Whyteleafe area. After some time my areas changed again and I covered the Godstone, South Godstone, Nutfield, Bletchingley areas of Tandridge.
I have recently started covering the Lingfield, Dormansland, Smallfield, Felbridge areas of Tandridge. So you could say I have quite reasonable knowledge of the whole area.
Rural affairs have always been and will continue to be a part of my life as I have been bought up around a number of different animals, big and small. I have lived on a small holding and been involved in shooting in one form or another.”
I am sure you will all support Kerrie in making her feel welcome in the rural community.
Kind Regards
pp. Karen Hughes
Tandridge Safer Neighbourhood Inspector
