Residential Burglary and other Crime Report 12 April 2021

Dear Surrey Heath members.
Please find below details of the currently reported burglaries (or attempted burglaries) to residential properties (including shed break-ins) as well as other crime statistics over the last period (05-12 April 2021). Summary details of these are provided in the list below.
Please note, where known I have used the approximate actual incident date/times rather than date the incident was reported (as there can be differences).
06 April (18:45-18:50). Sheridan Road. Suspect (white male aged around 14, wearing a hoody) trying various garage door handles in order to gain entry in a residential area in broad daylight. Ran off when disturbed.
To provide a further idea of the activities of the Surrey Heath Police team, there were 146 new incidents/occurrences being looked into during this period. A summary of these is given below along with some accompanying notes later;

*Suspect(s) have forced gate to golf course, crossed green and forced entry to green keepers shed, causing damage to roller door. They have stolen a red Honda quad bike and garden machinery (Camberley), suspects gained entry to a communal allotment shed by smashing shed door and stolen a strimmer and two petrol cans (Frimley).
**Inc; BMW M2 stollen from outside of my property overnight - owner still has the keys (Camberley), catalytic converter theft from Toyota Prius during night/early hours (Frimley Green), theft of silver BMW X5 from drive night/early hours - victim still has car keys (Camberley), victim had their car kicked and wing mirrors broken off during a road rage incident (Chobham), damage to vehicle – vehicle was keyed overnight (Bagshot), theft of white Ford Transit (Chobham), suspect has scratched both sides of a motor vehicle and spat on the bonnet (Deepcut), suspect has used an unknown object to scratch the victim's motor vehicle causing permanent damage (Frimley), catalytic converter stolen from Honda Prelude parked on residential road (Camberley), suspect(s) approached van in supermarket car park, created a hole in the van next to lock and smashed window gaining entry to vehicle - hand and power tools stolen from inside - Sainsbury’s car park (Camberley), force used to gain entry to silver Peugeot van causing damage and theft of tools within whilst parked in Longacres garden centre car park (Bagshot), front and rear index plates stolen from blue Mercedes SLK – 2 men spotted on CCTV walking away with plates, picked up by BMW (Lightwater), theft of catalytic converter from blue Honda Jazz (Bagshot), car wing mirror ripped off and thrown into front garden (Windlesham).
***Cannabis factory located at address, male detained and arrested having been seen leaving the rear garden (Bagshot), male found in possession of class B cannabis - quantity was possession only amount (Camberley), cling filmed wrap of Cannabis found in hotel room (Camberley).
****Vulnerable female called police worried that she has fallen victim to a banking scam (Camberley).
*****After initially failing to stop, male has been found in possession of a knife (Camberley), male found in possession of a lock knife (Bagshot).
******Male has demanded victim hands over his electric scooter or victim will be stabbed (Camberley).
*******Male made off from police on a E scooter, E scooter found abandoned nearby (Camberley).
********Inc; recently stolen vehicle recovered being driven by a disqualified driver with a knife on his person (Camberley), youths have attended Camberley town centre and one male has taken items without payment (Camberley), Ford Transit stolen off forecourt (Chobham), two males have stolen alcohol from a shop and ran off on foot (Frimley), theft of parcel from outside front door (West End), catalytic converter theft from Toyota Auris (Frimley), theft of scooter from play park (Camberley), male and female have arrived to purchase puppy and duped seller into believing they paid for the puppy via mobile phone banking and suspects made off with the puppy (Bisley), parcel has been stolen from outside front door (Camberley).
As always, the local Neighbourhood Team are keen to receive information on all crime spotted or believed to have occurred as this can assist with ongoing enquiries, as well as helping to build up their wider intelligence picture.
