Making your estates safer

Alert message sent 07/02/2018 10:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Surrey Police

On Monday 5th January a large number of Officers alongside a Drugs dog covered the CROMWELL and OBSERVATORY Estates in REDHILL looking for Drugs and Weapons in order to keep the estates safe and to reassure residents.
A cache of Drugs were seized from a car which Police broke into following indications from the Drugs Dog. This find included a Blank firing gun a knuckle duster and Knives.
Other finds elsewhere on the estates included wooden branches and other modified lengths of metal which could be used as weapons.
This type of Operation is carried from time to time to deny those who wish to carry out their business which disrupts and intimidates residents.

We urge you to call Police straight away if you see or suspect any criminal activity and please be assured that your information will be dealt with in the strictest confidence.
Help us to help keep you safe and to ensure Redhill is a safe place to work and live.

Best Regards

Paul Wimble and Brendan McLoughlin,
Your REDHILL TOWN Neighbourhood Officers
